The Ontario Dental Association (ODA) has been a proud founding sponsor of the ODA Cup since its inaugural puck drop on March 29, 2008, at the University of Western Ontario. What began as a spirited hockey rivalry has grown exponentially into a celebrated tradition.

Who We Are
The Ontario Dental Association (ODA) has been the voluntary professional association for dentists in Ontario since 1867. Today, we represent more than 10,000, or nine in ten, dentists across the province. The ODA is Ontario’s primary source of information on oral health and the dental profession.

I have been proud to support and sponsor the Ontario Dental Cup since 2013, and it continues to be one of the events in our profession that I look forward to the most each year.
It is truly inspiring to see the dedication of the dental students from both the University of Toronto and Western University who work so hard to organize this event in support of such meaningful causes. The impact that the Ontario Dental Cup has made for the CAMH Dental Clinic and the WRIGHT Clinic is something our dental community should be extremely proud of.
Over the years, this event has also allowed me to build strong relationships with both the U of T and Western dental faculties and to get to know many of the talented students who will soon become the next generation of dental professionals. Being able to support them while also contributing to charities that provide dental care to underserved communities makes this event particularly meaningful.
From a Patterson Dental perspective, it is incredibly important for us to support initiatives that strengthen the dental community and give back to those who need care the most. Patterson Dental has always believed in supporting education, community, and the future of dentistry, and the Ontario Dental Cup is a perfect example of all three coming together.
I am grateful for the continued partnership with both dental schools and proud that Patterson Dental can play a role in supporting this incredible event. I look forward to many more years of supporting the Ontario Dental Cup and the great causes it represents.
